The Hays Room is most accommodating for larger families. This room is named for Jack Coffee Hays; the Texas Ranger Commander chosen by Prince Carl of Solms Braunfels Germany to lead the wagons and 700 immigrants from the Gulf Coast up the Guadalupe River to what is now New Braunfels.  The Hays Room is located, next to the main building, in the adjacent building called the Feed Store. The room has a queen size bed, full private bath with tub/shower, cable TV, telephone, coffee maker and small refrigerator. This room also has a small crawling loft (four feet tall) with two double beds for the children.
